Overnight ratings dropped by double-digits for the NFL singleheader window.
The Week 14 NFL singleheader drew an 11.2 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 16% from last year (13.3) and down 1% from 2012 (11.3M). The 11.2 is tied as the second-highest of the season for the singleheader on CBS (seven telecasts), trailing only coverage in Week 11 (11.7).
Though solid for CBS, the 11.2 trails six of the seven singleheader telecasts on FOX. Further, the 16% decline is the largest of the season for the window, surpassing a 13% drop for Week 4 coverage on CBS.
Keep in mind CBS lost a scheduled Colts/Browns game to FOX as part of the NFL’s new ‘cross-flex’ policy. Colts/Browns, which had playoff implications, ended up as primary game of the network’s early doubleheader window.
