Sunday Night Football started strong on NBC.
Sunday’s Bears/Packers tilt drew a 12.6/21 final rating and 21.1 million viewers on NBC, up 13% and 15%, respectively, from Bears/Colts last year (11.2/18 and 18.4 million), and up 9% and 16% from Giants/Cowboys in ’07 (11.6/19 and 18.2 million).
This marks the highest rated, most-viewed season debut of Sunday Night Football since ’06 (Giants/Colts, 14.3/23, 22.6 million).
Through two games, NBC is averaging a 12.7/21 rating and 21 million viewers for NFL coverage, up 28% and 32%, respectively, from last year (9.9/17 and 15.9 million), and up 9% and 17% from 2007 (11.6/19 and 18 million).
