A pair of prime time college football games gave ESPN solid results in the ratings last week.
Thursday night’s Georgia Tech/Miami game drew a solid 2.9 U.S. rating and 4.4 million viewers on ESPN, up a whopping 61% in ratings and 67% in viewers from a 1.8 and 2.6 million for last year’s comparable Rutgers/North Carolina game.
Meanwhile, ESPN’s Saturday night Georgia/Arkansas game drew a 2.5 U.S. rating and 4 million viewers, up 93% and 140%, respectively, from a 1.2 and 1.7 million for Oklahoma/Washington last year.
Georgia Tech/Miami ranked as the 9th most-viewed program of the week on cable, while Georgia/Arkansas finished 14th.
