Ratings were off slightly for last week’s NFL doubleheader on CBS.
CBS averaged an 11.5 rating for last Sunday’s NFL doubleheader, down 2% from an 11.7 for last year’s Week 2 doubleheader. In particular, the late afternoon Steelers/Bears game drew a 14.5 rating and 23.9 million viewers, off 5% in ratings and viewers from a 15.3 and 25.2 million for Patriots/Jets last year.
Steelers/Bears was also down slightly from the 14.8 and 25.1 million for Washington/Giants in the late afternoon window during Week 1.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Patriots/Jets drew an 8.5 rating, up 6% from an 8.0 for regional coverage during Week 2 last year.
Through Week 2, CBS is averaging a 10.0 rating for NFL coverage, down 8% from a 10.9 through the same point last year.
