Patrick Returning to SportsCenter as Van Pelt’s Guest
- Radio host and NBC Sports broadcaster Dan Patrick will be a guest on Tuesday’s Midnight ET edition of SportsCenter, which marks Scott Van Pelt‘s debut as solo anchor of the hour. Patrick will appear in ESPN’s Bristol studios for the interview. Outside of taped pieces, such as last year’s remembrance of Stuart Scott, Patrick has not appeared on ESPN since leaving the network in 2007. (ESPN, Twitter)
Mendoza to Replace Schilling For Rest of Season
- ESPN announced Friday that MLB analyst Jessica Mendoza will replace Curt Schilling on Sunday Night Baseball for the remainder of the season. Though nothing has been officially set yet, she is also expected to work the network’s A.L. Wild Card Game telecast. Mendoza, who started the season in the studio, made her debut as a game analyst last month. (ESPN, Twitter)
Holtz Joins Golf Channel’s Morning Drive
- Former ESPN college football analyst Lou Holtz has joined the daily Golf Channel show Morning Drive as a weekly contributor. He made his debut Friday. Holtz, who left ESPN after last season, is also hosting a golf-centered radio show on Sirius XM this year. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)
