The drawing power of Brett Favre boosted FOX once again on Sunday.
Sunday’s NFL national window, featuring Bears/Vikings, drew a 16.3 overnight rating on FOX — up a tick from Giants/Cardinals on FOX last year (16.2), and up 9% from Jets/Patriots on CBS last week (14.9).
The 16.3 overnight is the 5th-highest of the season for an NFL telecast. The last four NFL national windows on FOX have drawn four of the five highest overnight ratings of the season.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Washington against the Eagles drew a 9.4 overnight, up 6% from an 8.9 during Week 12 last year (mostly 49ers/Cowboys, FOX), but down 15% from an 11.1 last week (mostly Colts/Ravens, CBS).
