After a postseason of heavy criticism, TBS lead MLB play-by-play voice Chip Caray will not return to the network next year.
According to a memo obtained by the New York Times, Caray and Turner Sports have agreed to “move ahead on different paths.” No replacement has been named, but Turner Sports president David Levy said in the memo that a “number of candidates” were being looked at.
Caray had been the lead play-by-play voice for regular season and postseason MLB coverage on TBS since ’07, and also called Braves games on Atlanta’s Peachtree TV.
