McNabb, Payton, Done at Fox Sports
- Fox Sports has parted ways with former Fox Sports Live panelists Donovan McNabb and Gary Payton, both of whom had been suspended for legal trouble in recent months. In a statement to Awful Announcing, the network said that McNabb handed in his resignation and Payton is “no longer employed” there. Combined with Andy Roddick‘s recent departure from the network, only Ephraim Salaam remains among the panelists on Fox Sports Live’s debut two years ago. (Awful Announcing)
Warriors’ Barnes on ESPN’s NBA Studio Coverage
- Golden State Warriors F Harrison Barnes will serve as a guest analyst on ESPN’s NBA halftime show Friday night, marking the second time this season that an active player has appeared on the network’s studio coverage. Orsillo Calling College Hoops on FOX
- Incoming San Diego Padres play-by-play voice Don Orsillo will call college basketball games for Fox Sports this season, it was announced last week.
