Overnight ratings for NFL Wild Card Saturday hit a 11-year high on NBC.
The Cowboys’ blowout win over the Eagles drew a 19.6/32 overnight rating on NBC Saturday night, up 7% from Colts/Chargers last year (18.3/30), up 18% from Jaguars/Steelers in ’08 (16.6/27), and up 14% from Cowboys/Seahawks in ’07 (17.2/28).
With the Cowboys running away with the game late, ratings peaked in the second quarter at a 21.6/35.
The 19.6 overnight is the highest for the late Saturday Wild Card game since Cowboys/Cardinals in ’99 (21.0/28). From 2000-09, the highest overnight for the late Saturday window was an 18.4.
Additionally, the 19.6 is the second-highest overnight for any NFL telecast on NBC since the network resumed airing games in ’06 — behind only Super Bowl XLIII last February.
The game drew a 44.3/65 in Dallas and a 33.7/51 in Philadelphia. Excluding San Antonio, which is a secondary market for the Cowboys, New Orleans was the top neutral market (31.8/44).
