Lawson to Work Second NBA Game
- ESPN college basketball analyst Kara Lawson will serve as a game analyst on the network’s Christmas Day Pelicans/Heat NBA telecast, marking just the second time she has called NBA action for the network. Her previous assignment was a January 2007 Wizards/Hornets game. Lawson will work alongside play-by-play voice Mark Jones. (ESPN Media Zone)
Burke to Miss Christmas Games, But Expected Back Soon
- ESPN NBA broadcaster Doris Burke has been absent from the network as of late after undergoing a minor medical procedure, and will miss the league’s annual Christmas Day slate for the first time since 2007. Patrick Developing Sports Series For NBC
- Radio host and NBC Sports broadcaster Dan Patrick is joining with Adam Sandler‘s production company Happy Madison to develop a comedy series for NBC, according to Variety. He is serving as executive producer on the still-untitled project. (Variety via Sports Business Daily)
