After record-highs last year, overnight ratings dropped only a tick for the PGA Tour at Tampa Bay.
Final round coverage of the PGA Tour at Tampa Bay earned a 2.3 overnight rating on NBC Sunday afternoon, down a tick from last year (2.4) but up 28% from 2014 (1.8). Last year’s final round was the highest rated in the metered markets since the tournament moved to broadcast in 2003.
The 2.3 trails only last year as the highest yet for the tournament.
Head-to-head, Sunday’s final round trailed the Big Ten Tournament final on CBS (2.4) and NASCAR on FOX (3.6). It did top the Cavaliers/Clippers NBA game on ABC (2.1).
Third round action the previous day had a 1.4 overnight, down a tick from last year (1.5) but up 8% from 2014 (1.3).
