Tiger Woods‘ return could not come any sooner for the sport of golf.
Final round coverage of the WGC-CA Championship drew a 2.1 overnight rating on NBC Sunday, down a whopping 42% from last year (3.6), down 36% from 2008 (3.3), and down 38% from 2007 (3.4).
The 2.1 overnight is the lowest for final round coverage of the event since it moved to its current March date in ’07, and is tied as the lowest overall since ’04.
Saturday’s third round coverage drew a 1.4 overnight, down 36% from last year (2.2), down 33% from 2008 (2.1), and down 46% from 2007 (2.6).
