For the third year in a row, the Pac-10 Championship Game hit a record low on CBS.
Saturday’s Washington/California game drew a 1.3 final rating and 1.9 million viewers on CBS, down 13% in ratings and 11% in viewership from Arizona St./USC last year (1.5, 2.2 mil), and down 32% and 35%, respectively, from UCLA/Stanford in ’08 (1.9, 2.9 mil).
Washington/California ranks as the lowest rated Pac-10 Championship Game since the event resumed in ’02.
Since drawing a 3.2 rating in its 2002 debut, ratings for the Pac-10 title game have declined 59%.
