Last Sunday’s Capitals/Blackhawks game drew a 0.8 final rating on NBC, even with Flyers/Penguins on the comparable date last year, but down 20% from Red Wings/Blackhawks the previous week (1.0).
The 0.8 rating is the second-lowest of the season for an NHL telecast on NBC, ahead of only Blackhawks/Red Wings in January (0.7) — which aired opposite the Cowboys/Vikings NFL Divisional Round game on FOX.
Versus its competition on Sunday afternoon, Capitals/Blackhawks outdrew the Atlantic 10 Championship Game on CBS (0.6), but fell behind the ACC Championship Game on ESPN (0.9).
