Overnight ratings dipped below a 1.0 for NBC’s regular season NHL finale on Sunday.
Sunday’s Bruins/Capitals game drew a 0.9 overnight rating on NBC, down 10% from Red Wings/Flyers a week earlier (1.0). There was no game on the comparable date last year.
The 0.9 overnight is the third-lowest of the season for an NHL telecast on NBC, ahead of Blackhawks/Red Wings in January (0.8) and Rangers/Bruins in March (0.7).
Four of NBC’s five NHL telecasts since the Olympic break drew a 1.0 overnight or lower. By comparisons, four of the five games before the Olympic break drew at least a 1.2.
