ESPN set viewership records for the three-day 2010 NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft averaged a 2.5 U.S. rating and 3.7 million viewers on ESPN, according to Nielsen fast-nationals. The 3.7 million viewers is up 27% from last year, and marks the highest average viewership ever for the NFL Draft on ESPN.
Thursday night’s first round coverage drew a 4.6 U.S. rating and 7.3 million viewers on ESPN, making it the most-viewed first round ever on the network.
Meanwhile, Friday’s second and third round coverage drew a 2.3 U.S. rating and 3.3 million viewers on ESPN and ESPN2. ESPN’s coverage (6-7 PM ET) drew a 2.2 and 3.2 million, while ESPN2’s (7-10:30 PM) drew a 2.3 and 3.4 million.
Finally, coverage on Saturday drew a 1.8 cable rating (the U.S. rating was not immediately available), up up 10% from the final day of the draft last year.
