The penultimate game of the Mavericks’ season — barring an unlikely comeback, that is — was the biggest draw for TNT over the weekend.
The Spurs’ Game 4 win over the Mavericks drew a 2.7 overnight rating on TNT Sunday night, up 50% from Magic/76ers Game 4 in a slightly earlier timeslot last year (1.8). Compared to Spurs/Mavericks Game 1 a week earlier, Sunday’s Game 4 was down 7%.
For the second straight week, the Spurs/Mavericks series was the top draw of the weekend for TNT.
Also on Sunday, Nuggets/Jazz Game 4 drew a 2.5 overnight, up 14% from Trail Blazers/Rockets Game 4 last year (2.2).
On Saturday, Game 3 between the Magic and Bobcats drew a 1.5 overnight, down 25% from Nuggets/Hornets Game 3 on ESPN in a similar timeslot last year (2.0).
Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers’ Game 4 win over the Suns drew a 2.0 overnight, up 54% from Spurs/Mavericks Game 4 last year (1.3). Keep in mind that Spurs/Mavericks game aired directly opposite first round coverage of the NFL Draft.
