The season finale of The Crosby Show put up spectacular numbers in Pittsburgh.
The Penguins’ season-ending Game 7 loss to the Canadiens drew a stratospheric 26.45 rating on FSN Pittsburgh Wednesday night, up 6% from Penguins/Capitals Game 7 last year (24.97) and the highest rating ever for a live telecast on the network.
Keep in mind that last year’s Penguins/Capitals Game 7 was not only a record at the time, but the highest rated NHL game ever on any FOX regional sports network.
The massive rating for Game 7 caps a spectacular run in the ratings for FSN Pittsburgh.
The network’s coverage of the Canadiens/Penguins series (three games) averaged a 23.35 rating, a record high. Additionally, the playoffs as a whole averaged a record-high 20.44 rating, with six of the games ranking among the ten highest rated ever on the network
