Overnight ratings declined by double-digits for the second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown.
The race segment of The 2010 Preakness Stakes, won by Looking At Lucky, drew a 6.4/15 overnight rating on NBC Saturday evening — down 19% from last year (7.9/18), up 3% from 2008 (6.2/14) and even with 2007 (6.4/15).
The 6.4 overnight is tied as the second-lowest for the race segment of The Preakness since 2002.
The double-digit drop comes just two weeks after overnights for the Kentucky Derby hit an 18-year high.
