Viewers are tuning into the NHL playoffs on cable in unprecedented numbers.
Versus averaged 775,000 viewers for the first two rounds of the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the highest average through this point in the postseason on record (dates back to the 1993-94 season).
In particular, second round coverage averaged 1.0 million viewers, up 28% from last year (816,000), and also a record high.
During the second round, Versus ranked in the top 10 among cable networks in the adults 18-49 demographic, and in the top 5 among men 18-49.
As recently as 2007, Versus drew fewer than 1 million viewers for coverage of the Stanley Cup Final.
