Sage Steele Gets New SportsCenter Gig
- ESPN NBA studio host Sage Steele has been named the primary anchor for remote editions of SportsCenter, it was announced Thursday. Starting with next month’s Major League Baseball playoffs, Steele will anchor SportsCenter from the site of several marquee events, including the Super Bowl, NCAA football and basketball championships and The Masters. She will continue anchoring ESPN’s NBA coverage, though in a reduced role. (ESPN Media Zone)
Fox Sports Hires Lombardi
- Former Cleveland Browns GM Michael Lombardi has joined Fox Sports as an NFL analyst, it was announced Monday, contributing to FOX NFL Kickoff and the various Fox Sports 1 studio shows. Lombardi, who has served in front office jobs with five different teams, has previously had on-air roles with CBS (1998) and NFL Network (2008-2012). (Fox Sports)
Pang Rejoins ESPN For World Cup of Hockey
- Former ESPN NHL analyst Darren Pang has rejoined the network for its upcoming coverage of the World Cup of Hockey. Pang, currently an analyst with the St. Louis Blues, will serve as a game analyst and between-the-glass reporter, with his first assignment Saturday’s United States/Europe game.
