In a year marked by multi-year lows, CBS scored a multi-year high for Sunday’s NFL singleheader.
The Week 13 NFL singleheader window earned a 10.8 final rating and 18.5 million viewers on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 6% in ratings and 8% in viewership from last year (10.2, 17.2M) and up 13% and 18%, respectively, from 2014 on FOX (9.6, 15.7M).
The telecast ranks as the highest rated and most-watched Week 13 singleheader since 2012, when FOX scored a 12.6 and 20.9 million. It was just the 14th NFL telecast all season to hit a multi-year high in one or both measures, compared to 54 that have hit multi-year lows.
Ratings and viewership were also the highest of the season for the singleheader on CBS (six telecasts), topping the previous highs of 10.2 and 17.2 in Week 6.
For just the fourth time all season, the singleheader topped Sunday Night Football in ratings and/or viewership — ranking ahead of NBC’s 10.2 and 17.8 million for Panthers/Seahawks.
