- Idle Note: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat will make the maximum number of appearances on TNT during the upcoming 2010-11 NBA season, according to Turner Sports president David Levy. Levy told Sports Business Journal that the Heat “will be our No. 1 this season. … The maximum [number of Heat games the network can televise] is 10 games. - Big Name: FOX MLB analyst Tim McCarver has apologized for comments he made regarding the Yankees’ treatment of former manager Joe Torre. During Saturday’s Rays/Yankees telecast, McCarver said the Yankees had “airbrushed” Torre’s legacy the same way “despotic leaders in World War II, primarily in Russia and Germany” erased generals “who were no longer alive” out of images. - Ratings Game: NBC drew a 0.8 overnight rating for coverage of the American Century Championship on Sunday, down 20% from last year (1.0), down 27% from 2008 (1.1) and down 20% from 2007 (1.0).
