After four years with Fox Sports 1, Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole have found their way back home. In other news, ESPN has hired former columnist at The New York Times William C. Rhoden, and L.A. Kings broadcaster Bob Miller is expected to announce his retirement.
Onrait, O’Toole, Going Back to TSN
- Outgoing Fox Sports 1 hosts Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole are officially returning to Canada and their former employer TSN, it was announced Wednesday. The duo, hired from TSN in 2013 to serve as the primary hosts of the now-canceled FS1 highlight show Fox Sports Live, will begin hosting a Midnight ET edition of SportsCentre this fall, titled SC with Jay and Dan. Onrait and O’Toole remain under contract with FS1 through March. (TSN 3.1)
Rhoden Joins ESPN’s The Undefeated
- Former columnist at The New York Times William C. Rhoden has joined ESPN as an editor and columnist for The Undefeated, the company announced Monday. Rhoden has had a long association with ESPN, having served as one of the frequent panelists on the long-running — and soon-to-be-canceled — Sunday morning show The Sports Reporters. Kings’ Miller Expected to Retire
- Longtime Los Angeles Kings play-by-play voice Bob Miller is expected to announce his retirement from broadcasting, The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday. Miller has suffered through several health issues in recent years, including a mild stroke in January. He has broadcast Kings games since 1973. (LAT 2.28)
