CBS, Turner, Announce Small Changes to NCAA Line-Ups
- CBS and Turner Sports announced some small changes to their NCAA Tournament roster Thursday, highlighted by Chris Webber replacing Steve Smith on the #2 broadcast team alongside Brian Anderson, Casey Stern replacing Matt Winer as the Atlanta-based studio host, and Steve Lavin and Debbie Antonelli joining as analysts, the latter becoming the first woman to call NCAA Tournament games since 1996. - ESPN is strongly considering filling the vacancy left by Chris Berman on Sunday NFL Countdown with College Gameday co-host Samantha Ponder, according to ESPN book author Jim Miller and Sporting News. The decision is not yet final, according to the latter. Per Miller, expected heirs Suzy Kolber and Trey Wingo would replace Berman on Monday Night Countdown and the NFL Draft, respectively. NFL Network Gets New President
- NFL Network announced Monday that it has hired former Bell Media president Mary Ann Turcke as the president of NFL Network and NFL Digital Media. Turcke had been president of Bell Media since 2015 and had been with parent company Bell Canada for twelve years. (NFL Communications 2.27)
