NBCSN scored one of its top Premier League audiences of the season last weekend.
Last Saturday’s Liverpool-Arsenal EPL match scored a 0.4 final rating and 614,000 viewers on NBCSN, flat in ratings and up 8% in viewership from West Brom-Crystal Palace on the NBC broadcast network last year (0.4, 571K).
It was the most-watched match on cable since Manchester United-Liverpool in mid-January (881K) and the sixth-most watched for the season. Four of the top six most have involved Liverpool and/or Arsenal, with their previous head-to-head meeting ranking second (745K).
Earlier in the day, Leicester City-Hull City scored a 0.3 and 438,000 — flat in ratings and up 12% viewership from Leicester City-Norwich City last year (0.3, 392K) but down 33% and 34% respectively from Manchester United-Sunderland in ’15 (0.4, 663K). The concurrent West Brom-Crystal Palace match had just 25,000 on CNBC; there was no comparable window last year.
Manchester United-Bournemouth started the morning off with a 0.2 (flat) and 329,000 (+38%).
Shifting to last Sunday’s action, Sunderland-Manchester City had a 0.3 and 412,000, while Tottenham-Everton had a 0.2 (-60%) and 363,000 (-49%). Rounding out the week, West Ham-Chelsea drew 216,000 on Monday.
