- CBS drew a 3.3 final rating for The NFL Today last Sunday, up 32% from Week 2 last year (2.5). The NFL Today beat FOX NFL Sunday (3.0) for the second straight week, although by a smaller margin than in Week 1 (3.6 to 3.0). (Sports Business Daily)
- Last Sunday’s Texans/Washington game drew a 27.3 rating on Houston CBS affiliate KHOU, the second-highest rating ever for the Texans in the market. Only the franchise debut in 2002 (42.2 on ESPN and ABC affiliate KTRK) drew a higher rating. (Houston Chronicle via Fang’s Bites)
- Last Friday’s Kansas/Southern Mississippi college football game drew a 1.5 U.S. rating and 2.269 million viewers on ESPN, down 29% in ratings and 27% in viewership from Boise State/Fresno State last year (2.1, 3.090 mil) and down 12% and 8%, respectively, from Kansas/South Florida on the comparable week in ’08 (1.7, 2.455 mil).
