FOX was not the only network putting up impressive numbers during Week 6 of the NFL season.
Sunday’s Week 6 NFL singleheader, featuring Ravens/Patriots, drew a 14.3 overnight rating on CBS — up 20% from Week 6 last year (NYG/NO*: 11.9, FOX), and up 59% from Week 6 in 2008 (BAL/IND*: 9.0, CBS).
In addition to Ravens/Patriots, Sunday’s telecast also featured Ben Roethlisberger‘s return to the Steelers.
The 14.3 overnight is the highest for the NFL singleheader window on any network since CBS drew the same overnight for the Week 16 window in 2008.
Additionally, the 14.3 ties that aforementioned ’08 window as the highest for the NFL singleheader on CBS since the network resumed airing NFL coverage in 1998.
Sunday’s telecast outdrew Sunday Night Football on NBC (IND/WSH: 13.2), marking the third time this season that the singleheader window has topped SNF.
