Big Drop For Senators Blowout
- Wednesday’s Penguins-Senators NHL Eastern Conference final Game 3 scored 1.2 million viewers on NBCSN, down 30% from Penguins-Lightning last year (1.8M) and down 26% from Rangers-Lightning in 2015 (1.7M). Ratings were not immediately available. Ottawa’s blowout win was the first game of the series to decline from last year.
Modest Bump For IndyCar GP of Indy
- The IndyCar Series Grand Prix of Indianapolis earned 969,000 viewers on ABC last Saturday afternoon, up 7% from last year (905K) but down 3% from 2015 (1.0M). The 0.7 final rating was even with the past two years.
F1 Spanish GP Nears High
- The Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix had 557,000 viewers on NBCSN last Sunday morning, up 14% from last year (487K), up 3% from 2015 (543K) and the most-watched edition of the race since it moved to NBCSN in 2013. It was the fifth-most watched F1 race ever on the NBC cable networks, behind Bahrain in 2014 (594K), 2015 (630K) and 2016 (578K) and Azerbaijan last year (569K).
