A battle of top ten teams gave CBS a solid boost in the overnights on Saturday afternoon.
Auburn’s win over LSU drew a 4.7 overnight rating on CBS Saturday, up 27% from last year (TEN/ALA: 3.7), and up 114% from the comparable game in 2008 (MISS/ALA: 2.2).
The 4.7 overnight is the highest of the season for a college football game on CBS that did not involve Alabama.
Earlier in the day, CBS drew a 2.1 overnight for Navy’s win over Notre Dame, down a tick from the same matchup on the network two years ago (2.2).
Last year’s Navy/Notre Dame game on NBC drew a 2.3 overnight.
