- The five-game Giants/Rangers World Series averaged 35.3 rating in the Bay Area, up 1% from the seven-game Angels/Giants World Series in 2002 (35.1). While the series was a hit in the Bay Area, it set a record low nationally. - In Dallas-Ft. Worth, the Rangers’ first World Series averaged a 30.9 rating, trailing the 2006 Heat/Mavericks NBA Finals in the market (34.6), but above the 2000 Devils/Stars Stanley Cup Finals (23.1 for four games on ABC). (Fang’s Bites)
- Sacramento (24.2) was the #3 market for the World Series, followed by Austin, TX (15.8) and San Diego (11.8). Outside of the Giants and Rangers’ home states, St. Louis led the way with an 11.7, followed by Las Vegas (11.0) and Seattle (10.9).
