For the second straight week, live NFL action on NFL Network was up double-digits in both ratings and viewership.
Thursday’s Bears/Dolphins game earned a 3.3 U.S. rating and 5.418 million viewers on NFL Network, up 74% in ratings and 81% in viewership from Week 11 last year (MIA/CAR: 1.9, 2.995 mil), and up 22% and 23%, respectively, from Week 11 in 2008 (NYJ/NE: 2.7, 4.411 mil).
The telecast was NFL Network’s second in as many weeks to have a double-digit rise from both last year and 2008.
Despite the increases, Bears/Dolphins ranks as the second-lowest rated, second-least viewed NFL telecast of the season. Only last week’s Ravens/Falcons game on NFL Network (3.1, 5.008 mil) put up lower numbers.
Even if low by NFL standards, Thursday’s game crushed its sports competition — Suns/Magic (0.8, 1.212 mil) and Nuggets/Trail Blazers (0.7, 1.052 mil) on TNT and a UCLA/Washington college football game (1.4, 2.053 mil) on ESPN.
