FOX had mixed results for last Sunday’s NFL doubleheader.
Regional NFL action featuring Vikings/Bears in 84% of TV markets drew an 8.2 final rating on FOX last Sunday, up 14% from Week 10 last year (ATL/CAR*: 7.2, FOX), and up 5% from Week 10 in 2008 (TEN/CHI*: 7.8, CBS).
Viewership for Sunday’s telecast was not immediately available.
Though up from each of the past two years, the 8.2 rating is tied as the ninth-lowest rated NFL telecast on any network through the first ten weeks of the season (53 telecasts).
The results were reversed for the second game of the doubleheader, which was down from last year, but drew one of the largest ratings of the season.
As reported earlier this week, the Week 10 NFL national window — featuring Cowboys/Giants in 83% of markets — earned a 15.5 final rating and 26.226 million viewers on FOX, down 3% and 2%, respectively, from last year.
Despite the decline from last year, the telecast ranks as the sixth-highest rated of the season.
