Sunday’s Week 14 doubleheader put up mixed results for CBS, with a slight decline early and a double-digit increase late.
CBS earned a 9.6 final rating and 15.498 million viewers for regional NFL action featuring Bengals/Steelers Sunday afternoon, down 1% in ratings and viewership compared to Week 14 last year (CIN/MIN*: 9.7, 15.656 mil).
This marks the first time Week 8 that ratings or viewership have declined for the first game of an NFL singleheader.
Sunday’s NFL national window on CBS drew a 17.5 rating and 30.468 million viewers, up 19% and 26%, respectively, from last year. As reported earlier this week, the telecast ranks as the highest rated and second-most viewed NFL telecast of the season.
