Gillette will cut ties with Tiger Woods on December 31, becoming the latest company — in more ways than one — to drop the star golfer.
The company is ending its relationship with Woods, Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi, and others, reports USA Today. The move comes as the company “[phases] out its Gillette Champions marketing program,” which it began in 2007.
Woods became a Gillette endorser in 2007, along with Henry and tennis player Roger Federer. Federer will remain with Gillette.
Several companies dropped Woods in the immediate aftermath of his marital infidelity controversy late last year, but the last to do so was Gatorade back in February.
