The second outdoor game of the NHL season scored for Versus Sunday evening.
Sunday’s Canadiens/Flames NHL Heritage Classic earned a 0.3 U.S. rating and 608,000 viewers on Versus, the largest cable audience on record for a regular season NHL game between Canadian teams.
The Flames’ win ranks as the fourth-most viewed NHL telecast ever on Versus. Three of the network’s four largest audiences have come this season alone.
The Heritage Classic received heavy promotion during corporate sibling NBC’s NHL doubleheader earlier Sunday.
