The Winnipeg-Vegas matchup continues to surprise; Sunday Night Baseball sank for a seventh-straight week; Premier League viewership inched up in the 2017-18 season.
Jets-Golden Knights Up For Second Time in Three Games
Including streaming viewership, the game had 1.45 million (+28%).
Game 3 pulled a 14.7 rating in Las Vegas, the highest for a Golden Knights game on cable. The NHL conference finals have averaged 1.68 million viewers across NBC’s TV and digital platforms (+8%).
Sunday Night Baseball Down For Seventh Straight Week
Ratings and viewership have now declined for all seven Sunday Night Baseball games this year, with six of the seven down double-digits in one or both measures. Five of the seven windows have hit multi-year lows.
On Saturday, FS1 scored a 0.20 and 328,000 for another game between the same two teams — down 50% in ratings and 47% in viewership from last year (Cubs-Cardinals: 0.4, 615K). It trailed A’s-Yankees on MLB Network earlier in the afternoon (0.28, 428K).
Shifting to the workweek, ESPN drew 556,000 for Rays-Royals on Monday night (+6%) and Cardinals-Twins 411,000 on FS1 Tuesday (-55%).
Slight Increase For Premier League Season
Last week’s EPL Championship Sunday grossed 1.8 million viewers across ten NBC networks, on par with last year. There was little at stake as Manchester City wrapped up the Premier League title a month ago.
