Just under two weeks after setting a local ratings record on Versus, the Bruins broke that record in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Final against the Lightning.
The Bruins’ Game 2 win over the Lightning earned a 14.59 rating on Versus in Boston, the market’s highest rating ever for an NHL telecast on the network. The previous record was 11.76 for Flyers/Bruins Game 3 on May 4.
Saturday’s Game 1 of the series earned a 9.87 rating in Boston.
Local ratings in the Tampa-St. Petersburg market were not immediately available.
Game 1 Up Nationally: Game 1 of the Lightning/Bruins series drew a 0.8 U.S. rating and 1.541 million viewers on Versus Saturday night, flat in ratings and up 4% in viewership compared to Game 1 of last year’s East Final (MTL/PHI G1: 0.8, 1.481M), but down 20% and 7%, respectively, from 2009 (CAR/PIT G1: 1.0, 1.660M).
