The final game of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals scored record numbers in both Boston and Tampa-St. Petersburg.
Friday’s Game 7 between the Lightning and Bruins scored an 18.8 rating in Boston, the market’s highest rating ever for an NHL telecast on Versus. The previous record was a 16.4 for Game 6 of the series two nights earlier.
Versus set multiple ratings records in Boston during the postseason, including at least three times in the Bruins/Lightning series alone.
The game also earned a 7.8 rating in Tampa-St. Petersburg, a record for an NHL game on Versus in the market.
