Now a corporate sibling of Versus, NBC will air portions of this year’s Tour de France.
For the first time, NBC will air coverage of cycling’s Tour de France, NBC Sports Group announced Monday.
The network is scheduled to televise taped coverage of the event’s first two stages, with one 90-minute window on Saturday, June 2 (2:00-3:30 PM ET), and another 90 minute window on Sunday, July 3 (3:00-4:30 PM ET).
Versus will continue to air live, daily coverage of the event, including an “enhanced primetime show each night” from 8:00-11:00 PM ET.
With NBC now airing coverage of the event, it was not immediately clear whether CBS Sports would continue to play a role in Tour de France coverage.
