- U.S. Women’s Open Down From Last Year: NBC drew a 0.8 final rating and 1.135 million viewers for third and final round coverage of the U.S. Women’s Open on July 10, down 11% in ratings and 5% in viewership from last year (0.9, 1.187M), and down 33% and 34%, respectively, from 2009 (1.2, 1.707M). Two hours of primetime bonus coverage earned a 1.3 and 1.892 million. Coverage on July 9 drew a 0.6 and 841,000 viewers, down 14% in ratings and 5% in viewership from 2009 (0.7, 885K), and down 46% and 47%, respectively, from 2009 (1.1, 1.573M).
- John Deere Classic Up Double-Digits: Final round coverage of the PGA Tour John Deere Classic drew a 1.6 final rating and 2.329 million viewers on CBS July 10, up 33% in ratings and 29% in viewership from last year (1.2, 1.812M), and even in both measures compared to 2009 (1.6, 2.323M). The previous day, third round coverage drew a 1.1 and 1.509 million viewers, up 10% and 13%, respectively, from last year (1.0, 1.340M).
- Slight Uptick For MLB on FOX: Regional MLB action featuring Braves/Phillies earned a 1.9 final rating and 2.863 million viewers on FOX July 9, up a tick in ratings and virtually even in viewership compared to last year (TB/NYY*: 1.8, 2.866M), and up 19% and 26%, respectively, from 2009 (NYM/ATL*: 1.6, 2.265M).
