A longtime ESPN anchor is reportedly leaving the network.
ESPN anchor Brian Kenny will leave the network in September, USA Today reported Monday.
ESPN VP/Communication Mike Soltys said that Kenny, whose contract expired, “found a new opportunity” (usatoday.com, 8/22).
Kenny anchored SportsCenter and Friday Night Fights for ESPN and also hosted his own ESPN Radio show. He is the second SportsCenter anchor to leave the network this year; morning anchor Josh Elliot departed for Good Morning America in May.
Kenny joined ESPN in 1998.
