On the latest edition of the show, Host T.J. Rives is back with Jon Lewis (aka “Paulsen”) of SportsMediaWatch.com to discuss the latest happenings with games, ratings and news about it all.
First, the guys discuss the massive audience for the Dallas Cowboys-Las Vegas Raiders Thanksgiving Day game that CBS claimed was the most watched regular season game in 30 years. Jon throws some water on that and explains why it isn’t quite what they claimed, but still HUGE success.
Further, what else did well in terms of sports viewership, etc. last Thursday, too?
Then, the guys turn to the two mega-college football rivalry games of Ohio State vs. Michigan (Fox) and Alabama-Auburn (CBS) from last Saturday. Those traditional matchups are always a ratings gold mine. How big does Jon think the final audiences will end up.
Also, the slate and schedule of Championship Saturday is out for this weekend and Jon wants to know why one game in particular is being left out of a prime time slot?
Finally, the guys play some “Love it or Leave it?” on College Hoops, the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade” and online shopping, too.
It’s all part of the SportsMediaWatch.com podcast and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spreaker, Spotify, Google, etc.!!!
