It’s another edition of our podcast and host T.J.Rives is back with Jon Lewis (aka “Paulsen”) of SportsMediaWatch.com to go over several subjects and have a little fun about “Christmas Movies” too.
First, the guys discuss “Championship Saturday” in college football, including Alabama’s upset of Georgia and Michigan trouncing of Iowa and what those outcomes meant (or not) for CBS and Fox’s TV ratings. Also, what about the College Football Playoff committee subjectively, allowing Cincinnati in, and keeping Alabama and Georgia from playing each other in the semis?
Then, the topic turns to the NFL and the ratings successes continuing for the late Sunday window of games. This week it was the dramatic finish to Pittsburgh and Baltimore that just missed going to OT. Also, what about the wild Monday night game in high winds at Buffalo? That’s where the “Sky Cam” couldn’t be used for replays and it was a factor late in the game on a controversial play.
Finally, we always play “Love it or Leave it” with Jon and he answers on NBA “flex scheduling,” the Heisman presentation and whether Bruce Willis’ “Die Hard” is truly a “Christmas Movie” or not/
It’s all part of the “Sports Media Watch.com Podcast” and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google, Spreaker, etc.!!
