All three NFL games on Thanksgiving Day had increases in overnight ratings compared to last season.
The early Thanksgiving Day game, between the undefeated Packers and the 7-3 Lions, earned a 15.8 overnight rating on FOX — up 5% from last year’s early game (NE/DET: 15.0, CBS), and up 31% from 2009 (GB/DET: 12.1).
The 15.8 is the highest overnight rating for an NFL game on Thanksgiving Day since Vikings/Cowboys drew the same number in 1998.
Later in the day, Dolphins/Cowboys earned a 15.3 overnight on CBS, up 4% from last year’s late game (NO/DAL: 14.7, FOX), and up 21% from 2009 (OAK/DAL: 12.6).
The 15.3 is the second-highest NFL overnight on Thanksgiving since 1998.
