Breaking down the Cowboys schedule
While the Dallas Cowboys have failed to qualify for the postseason for the last two seasons, the team is scheduled for five prime time games during the 2026 season. The regular-season schedule begins with a Week 1 matchup on “Sunday Night Football” against the rival Giants, followed by two straight games in the late-afternoon window on Fox and CBS, respectively.
The Cowboys play in prime time for three straight games beginning in Week 5, airing on Prime Video (vs. Buccaneers), NBC (vs. Packers) and ESPN (vs. Eagles). As is tradition, the team plays on Thanksgiving Day this season, facing the Eagles in the afternoon window on Fox. Unlike last season, the team does not play on the Christmas Day holiday, instead matching up against the Jaguars on “Sunday Night Football” to conclude Week 16.
