Breaking down the Commanders schedule
After making the NFC Championship two years ago, the Commanders missed the playoffs last year in an injury-wracked campaign for QB Jayden Daniels. If Washington wants to recover the promise it showed in the 2024 season, it will have plenty of early opportunities — facing the last two Super Bowl champions and the Cowboys in the first three weeks of play. From there, the team plays five of seven games in standalone national windows, including primetime games against the 49ers on “Monday Night Football” in Week 6, Eagles on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 8, Giants on “Thursday Night Football” in Week 10 and Bengals on “Monday Night Football” in Week 11.
