National ratings are already out, but for posterity’s sake, here are Sunday’s overnights for NASCAR on NBCSN.
NASCAR Sprint Cup racing from Pocono earned a 2.5 overnight rating on NBCSN Sunday afternoon, down 11% from last year (2.8) and down 14% from 2013 (2.9), both on ESPN. The race was the ninth of ten Sprint Cup telecasts on cable to have a decline in overnight ratings.
Overall, all but three Sprint Cup races this season have a had a decline in overnights.
The 2.5 overnight is tied as the second-highest for a Sprint Cup race on cable this season, matching Martinsville on Fox Sports 1 in March and trailing only the Brickyard 400 the previous week (2.9).
For the weekend, NASCAR on NBCSN tied final round coverage of the PGA Tour National on CBS as the top rated sporting event in the metered markets.
