- The Brett Favre controversy has led to high ratings in Wisconsin. Sunday night’s Packers Family Night Scrimmage drew a 15.0 rating with a 23 share in Milwaukee, “making it the top television attraction of any local sports event last weekend.” The pre and post-game shows for the scrimmage drew ratings of 10.5 and 11.1, respectively. To put that in perspective, Brewers games on FSN Wisconsin are averaging a 7.4 rating locally, including a 10.7 average since the team traded for CC Sabathia.
- NBC drew a 5.4 overnight rating for the NFL Hall of Fame Game on Sunday night, down 23% from a 7.0 for the last Hall of Fame Game on the network in 2006. The game helped NBC win the night in total viewers and among adults 18-49, averaging 7.2 million viewers and a 2.4 rating in the demo in prime time (8-11 PM).
- ABC drew increased ratings for its coverage of X Games 14. Coverage on Saturday drew a 1.1 overnight, up 22% from a 0.9 last year, while the Sunday afternoon telecast drew a 1.2, even with last year. Overall, ABC’s two day coverage averaged a 1.2 overnight, up 9% from last year.
