Make no mistake, ratings for the Olympics are still extremely impressive and dominant — just not by as much as last week.
NBC drew a 15.3/25 overnight and 25.4 million viewers in prime time (8-11 PM) Monday night, down 11% and 15% from a 17.6/28 and 29.95 million in prime time last Monday. Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged an 8.3 rating, down 19% from a 10.2 last Monday.
The 25.4 million viewers in prime time is the second lowest of the Olympics so far, ahead of only the first Saturday of competition.
Prime time viewership peaked from 10:30-11 PM, with 28.4 million viewers tuning in. Keep in mind prime time does not take into account anything past 11 PM, which is when NBC aired taped coverage of individual gymnastics finals, featuring American Nastia Liukin.
